A vacation is the most desired experience in life for everyone. Escaping from the routine of daily life, we all yearn to connect with nature and relish the moments. Youth is something we cannot reclaim once it’s gone. With this in mind, I embarked on a journey to explore not only my own country but also to venture beyond its borders. However, traveling abroad made me realize the importance of considering budget constraints. Thus, I began crafting my travel bucket list, focusing on Southeast Asian countries. Their allure lies in their beauty, vibrancy, and affordability.
My journey commenced in Malaysia, specifically in the enchanting city of Langkawi. The moment I set foot there, I felt transported to another realm – surrounded by the vast ocean, lush nature, and a plethora of activities. Prior to my arrival, I had pre-booked my hotel accommodations through Booking.com and Agoda, ensuring a seamless experience upon landing. Utilizing the convenient Grab transportation system, I made my way from the airport to the hotel. This ride-hailing service offers both cash and credit card payment options, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. Langkawi boasts a wide array of affordable and visually stunning hotels, with Pantai Cenang Beach being a hotspot for vibrant nightlife. During my three-night stay, I meticulously planned each day’s itinerary to make the most of my time in Langkawi. 🙂
Day 01: After checking in, I wasted no time in immersing myself in the local nightlife scene. Despite the bustling atmosphere of the beach, the plethora of activities kept exhaustion at bay. Countless bars lined the shore, offering the perfect setting to enjoy the sea breeze with a refreshing beverage in hand.

Day 02: Early in the morning, I had enjoyed my breakfast right over the beach, which was included with my hotel reservation. If you don’t do it, no problem at all. Because there are tons of restaurants with varieties of breakfast options and also at very cheap prices. After breakfast, we had started for Oriental village. It is a themed village where you can enjoy a cable car, sky bridge, 3D art museum, and so on. You have to pay for every activity and also you can roam around the village, which is also very enjoyable. There are lots of juice bars with fresh fruits which are also very cheap, obviously. If you plan for the Oriental village, keep in mind it will take a minimum of 4-5 hours to complete every activity. So you can plan accordingly. And for a family tour, it is highly recommended. After the Oriental village, we have gone to see Eagle square in Kuah. It is one of the iconic places of Langkawi from where you can enjoy a mesmerizing sunset. After sunset, we had returned to the hotel in Cenang. At night we had enjoyed the night activities on Cenang beach with a full moon! 🙂

Day 03: After completing breakfast, we were out for island hopping. Here you can book the ticket beforehand with many websites, which I think is quite expensive than the local agency. All you have to do is reserve the tour beforehand like the day before. There are also so many options like if you want to enjoy the sunset on any of the islands you can choose it. You can customize it like with or without food and water activities. It was really a beautiful view and you can do snorkeling also. It will also take around 4-5 hrs. After island hopping, we returned to Cenang beach and enjoyed a few activities like scuba, parasailing, and jet ski. Cenang beach is popular for all these activities and you will realize how much it is true when you will enjoy it there! ☺️☺️☺️
At night, we did some shopping and enjoyed the beach with the wave of the ocean…

Day 04: It was the last day in Langkawi and we had started for Kuala Lumpur! See you in Kuala Lumpur!!! ☺️
Tips:
01. Don’t hurry to book the hotel. There are plenty of good options at very cheap prices. Search thoroughly.
02. For transportation, you can hire Grab or rent a car or motorbike. For rent, you will have to have a valid international driving license. Renting a motorbike is cheap.
03. Food is very cheap. There are lots of options. You should really enjoy the dishes of Langkawi; they are awesome! Especially the seafood!
04. Langkawi is best to visit from November to April.
05. If you have a plan of shopping, feel free to do it. It is cheap, but you need to bargain then it will be cheaper! 😜
Happy staying in Langkawi….. ❤️”
